Program entry requirements:
Students must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a university recognized by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a good grade or higher in one of the following majors that qualify him to study in the program:
Intelligent Robot Systems Track:
Mechasmanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Communications Engineering, Industrial Automation Engineering, Medical Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering and any specialty Soon the commission finds it appropriate.
Data Science Track:
Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Automation Engineering, Medical Equipment Engineering
Students shoudl pass a personal interview held by the program committee. The personal interview is considered a basic requirement in the university admission process in order to review the student’s motivations and strengths and weaknesses, and to verify the extent of the student’s ability to have the skills presented in the application such as the English language, test scores in the courses, the ability to express and communicate with others, as well as see his personal interests and how it relates to his goals after graduation.
Students are accepted on the recommendation of the program committee according to the competitive evaluation (graduation rate at the bachelor's degree plus the result of the personal interview)
The student must have the ability to read, write and express themsevles in English and have a score of no less than 500 in TOEFL paper-based or 180 in TOEFL CBT or 61 in TOEFL iBT or 6 in the IELTS exam. Otherwsize, students can enroll in a remedial English language course for postgraduate studies at Palestine Polytechnic University and pass it successfully.
Prerequisite Courses
The program committee may require some students to study remedial (qualifying) courses to complete the requirements for admission to the program according to the system of graduate studies approved at the university. The program committee determines the nature and title of these remedial courses based on the student’s academic file in the Bachelor’s and the result of the personal interview, and the student is informed about it upon admission to the program. The remedial courses required for the two tracks can be summarized as follows:
Intelligent Robot Systems Track:
The following courses are considered prerequisite for the student, as the committee decides the required courses according to the student's transcript and specialization in the bachelor's degree. The committee can choose one or more courses. The courses are in the form of remedial units, and they are:
- Applied Mechanics (Dynamics): 1 credit hour
- Sensors: 1 credit hour
- Engines: 1 credit hour
- Control systems: 2 credit hours
- Linear Algebra: 1 credit hour
- Microcontroller: 2 credit hours
Data science Track
For graduates of mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, electronics, communications engineering, electronics engineering, industrial automation engineering, medical equipment engineering:
- Data Structures: 3 credit hours.
- Database Management Systems: 3 credit hours.
